I am very much excited to see the Grey and Ochre collection at House of Hackney. The use of colour is so divine, I love the idea of mixing old fashioned design with hints of contemporary. Dove grey and calming silver paired with auric tones of yellow make for a stylish and opulent infused interior. Here at Jane McIntyre Design we stock and can order any House of Hackney pieces, wether its a statement cushion or luxurious wallpaper.
The photo above shows the lovely Queen Bee pattern, now available in these beautiful bedding sets, pillow cases from £60.

Owners of House of Hackney Frieda and Javvy travelled around the UK sourcing the best manufacturers in each field, many of whom are specialist family run businesses who have passed on the trade from generation to generation. British textile designer, poet, novelist and social activist William Morris was a major influence to Frieda and Javvy when they founded House of Hackney. His championing of egalitarian design and well-made product, which was accessible to not only the elite, was instrumental in their mission for House of Hackney. Today House of Hackney has grown from its roots in a house in Hackney to a new generational brand which balances heritage with modernity, mixing iconic design with style and functionality, with a strong social conscience at the heart of its decisions, supporting British manufacturing in the process.
