Such a lovely walk this morning I had to share it! Not always easy to leap out of bed at 6am and today was no exception as I fought against snuggling into gorgeous man.
Plus my beautiful Bella Note Linens! But I did – well, stumble rather than leap – and once I was out there it was just magical. There’s something sacred and elemental at that time of day and I am lucky enough to live in a place where I can walk straight out of the garden into the New Forest and hardly ever bump into another living soul, unless of course they have four legs.
After all the rain there was a great sense of freshness and as the sun rose in the sky the mists rose from the ground, so much so that I was looking for Orlando Bloom popping out from behind a vast tree trunk and carrying me back to Middle Earth. There was so much busy activity in the trees above that as I walked under them it was a little like taking a shower. Oh well, it had to end and I had to meet the daily grind, but I did go forth with a spring in my step today!
On another note, the dogs are starting a summer school for humans called “How to Throw a Frisbee”, it’s in three phases :-
1. How to let go 2. How to throw and 3. How to throw more than three metres. Anyone interested please contact Roger, labrador to the left, who is heartily sick of his mother’s attempts and is ready to go back to chasing deer instead.
