Fabulous Canvases From Mineheart

A step away from Mineheart’s signature canvases which burst with colour, this new Gold Edition in black and white, with a touch of gold, have a vintage feel reminiscent of an old photograph. Their ornate frames are not as they seem but are in fact printed onto the canvases. Light as a feather to hang, they come in different sizes so please click on any image for more information.

Still Life

I love these canvases, they’re fabulously Gothic and silly and sumptuous, all rolled into one.  They look great hung on a dark panelled wall, probably my best option as they appear to be a painting by one of the Great Masters from a distance, so they fit the bill perfectly.  But they are equally at home on a painted surface in more or less any colour, though greys, antique golds and neutrals would be the obvious choices.

The creators, designers Brendan Young and Vanessa Battaglia of Mineheart “believe that the objects we surround ourselves with everyday should be more than just functional, they should be made of stories, love, art and poetry in order to meaningfully exist…”

Launched in 2010 by the founders of design consultancy Young & Battaglia, the company name Mineheart was inspired by the Shakespearian quote: “Mine eye and heart…” to symbolise their dual passions; love for tradition and eye for contemporary design which are combined in often surprising and delightful ways within the Mineheart collection.
